This family-friendly gym is
a long-running expat favourite and solid all-rounder. The big draws are
the two pools: the outdoor one is more suited to sunbathing, but its
indoor counterpart makes for a great place
to do some quiet laps. The basement houses two small group training
studios plus squash courts (40RMB/hour), while outside there’s a
little-used basketball court. The third floor fitness centre is light
and airy, with a decent free weights section and new-ish machines
including cross-trainers, StairMasters, exercise bikes and a bank of ten
treadmills looking out over Huaihai Zhong Lu. It’s rarely crowded except on
Monday evenings.
