Zhang Leping is the creator of the most iconic characters in the history of Chinese comics – San Mao, or 'Three Hairs', is an orphan who tried to survive the harsh condition in Shanghai concessions during Second Sino-Japanese War. This three-storey mansion with beige-coloured wall served as Zhang's residence from 1950 to 1992. It is now a museum that celebrates his life-long work.
