Standing on the third floor of a revamped building on the corner of Jinxian and Maoming Lus, this venue from the people behind Heyday is another live music and drinks spot with a similarly sleek decor, but this time with a vintage supper club theme.
A creative dinner menu of broadly Asian-themed tapas – think honey-cheese tofu and Thai beef carpaccio – from the deft hands of Danyi Gao is served from 6pm until around 10pm, after which the live music kicks in six nights a week (80RMB cover on Fridays and Saturdays) with a funk and soul slant. Resident singers include Redic, Hazel Gould, The Shanghai Sheiks and Courtney Knott.
Drinks, courtesy of Colin Tait who was previously plying his trade at the highly thought of Vesper bar in Bangkok, come named after classic soul hits and singers and are excellent across the board.
