Initially labelled as a ‘pop-up’ when it first opened last year, we’re hoping that this dedicated outlet for California native Christine Asuncion’s bagel brand is here to stay. Even if you don’t work in the IAPM office towers next door, you’ll want to get to Spread the Bagel in the mornings for their excellent offerings.
Although there’s a great range of healthy options available, we find it hard to look past indulging in a parmesan-topped bagel stuffed with Amelia’s bacon, a fried egg and gooey cheddar cheese (38RMB). Whether you grab it in a brown paper bag and run, or take a moment to sit at the ceiling to floor window in front of the shop’s open counter and watch the world go by on Nanchang Lu, this is a fantastic way to fuel up for the day.
