Tucked away on a quiet side street in Changning district, Beer Ayi’s Beer Supermarket (啤酒阿姨的啤酒超市) – more commonly referred to as ‘Beer Lady’ – features rows of fridges stocked with bottles of imported craft beer (from 25RMB) and a handful of outdoor tables. It’s a simple formula, but a popular one, and with good reason. The beer selection is extensive and surprising, regularly refreshed and reasonably priced, while the vibe is supremely laidback. All-in-all, it’s a brilliantly unpretentious place to enjoy a quality beer.
